Being a Senior has its perks. For example, what other grade gets to wake up at 6:30 to go stand on wet grass and shiver while eating donuts and drinking chocolate milk, only to realize that the sun is actually rising on the other side of the school so we can't even see it? Nobody! That's the kind of privilege one recieves only after surviving 12 years of school.
But, despite the coldness, it was a really fun morning. Our small group huddled in blankets grew and shrunk throughout the entirety of the morning, and was of course only complete when we all burst into song. We were surprisingly in tune for such an early hour.
The best part of the morning was when we went to the other side of the school and actually got to see the sun rising on the mountain. The light was just creeping along the canyon so perfectly and we all yelled, "It's the Senior sunrise!" Yes, this is why we came. To be with friends and see the beautiful sunrise.

Uh...Senior year?
First I would like to begin this post by saying that I am truly frustrated right now. I just tried about 20 times to get the title of the previous post to be centered, but it won't let me do it!
Oh well.
Anyways, all of a sudden summer is over and I'm a Senior! As in..graduating this year. As in...getting ready for college and being an adult and...all that. It's a lot of stress to have to think about all these decisions I've got to make. But for the moment, I am content and not thinking about anything except living life the best I can. So far, Senior year has been good. I feel like I actually want to learn to learn, not just to play the rules of school. Doing my homework hasn't even been a problem. I don't know how long that feeling will last, but I hope it sticks around, for a while at least. :)

Band Camp
So band camp started this week. I really
thought it would kill me. But actually... it's pretty great. 13 hours of music
every day. How can that be bad? And it really is just like a camp you would go
to like EFY or Drama Camp or something. There's a schedule, and instructors;
friends, and fun times. Not to mention the non stop laughing. It is only day
three though, so I'll keep you posted.
